Warrior of Light - Free and online

I was more than happy to find out that one of my favorite books "Warrior of Light" by Paulo Coelho is available for free as a e-book (PDF, to be exact). That solves two of my problems.

1. I am on the path towards Zero piracy personally and this is free from the author himself so can't get any better.

2. Paper back are becoming a trouble to store and carry around. electronic books suit me better after the first read. ( i still prefer to read a book first in dead wood paper)

Apart from this book he also has been kind enough to share some more of his work on line in his web site. http://paulocoelhoblog.com/

He is one of the most active authors in the internet and sets an example on being accessible.

Lakshmi Niwas Mittal - "I don't Think that way"

At least for a part of Indians into global business's today was a happy day.
No because the rupee appreciated or stock market is yet again on its bullish rides,
The reason is that an Indian-born business man ( don't know what national he is today )
Shri Lakshmi Niwas Mittal went on to become the king of kings of the global steel business.
It happened with his European company taking over accelor, another big European steel maker.

The deal was one of the long awaited and battled one, and all through the process Mr.Mittal
persued it without any signs of letting it go even when some real big powers were trying to trip off this deal.

i read in Economic times a lot of this deal and a great deal about Mr.Mittal. one thing that amazed me and wanted me to share with as much ppl as possible is the way he thinks.

A couple of months back, When asked by the newspaper economic times what he will do if the deal did not get thru .., his reply was an amazing statement,..,
"I don't Think that way"

I think this One statement says all about why certain men like him go ahead to conqre the world. They just donn think negative, its not that they are just positive thinkers but they are people who never ever even think of failing.Lakshmi Niwas Mittal - "I don't Think that way"

tamizhpenn;s Blog

My friend refered me to this blog when i appeared to him as bored.
The first one i started to read was the latest post and God it was long.
I guess women have always have the capability to narrate events with such detail that even a simple event can be blown up to whatever proposition she wants it to be.

Over all i liked the kumudam, anandha vigadan siru kadai (short story) approch that the narrative had. any ways i am not yet bored enough to read the posts.

if you are a fan of these types of narrative where sankadas (troubles) of life are lively presented, you might like this..,

Personal Green tips on what i do for a Greaner world

After watching the inconvenient truth by Al Gore, the way i see the planet has changed for good. now a days i see most things and ponder on how green can this be done.
i should confess that at times its too much of a pain to find the right mix between getting things done and finding better ways to do the same thing.

I my quest to 'be the change that i want to see' in being green , i have started inculcating some green measures personally. my thumb rule being that i will not let the greening process prevent me from achieving things.

  1. Switch off desktop at the end of the day - This seemed to be a trivial thing till i calculated how much electricity and hence money it takes to leave the machine running through the night. Apart from saving money and power it has helped my desktop work much faster and smoother. Thanks to the company that i work for, i have a LCD monitor yet i switch it off when i leave. In case you have a CRT monitor ( the big, fat, ugly ones) it is much important to shut it off as those monster suck more power(read money).
  2. Switch off the monitor at lunch and tea breaksThough this seems to sound like a fanatical move, even this small step counts. when we consider the combined benefits of more people dong this, these small things add up. -
  3. Use Less Paper - i use far lesser paper that i used to.
  4. Stay as close to the office as your budget allows and minimize commuting.
  5. Use group transport or car / bike pool where ever possible.
  6. combine errands into one trip to avoid multiple trips. i typically have a errand day that i plan and achive.
  7. Remove unused chargers and electrical electronic devices from the plug point.

another one is this which i got wrong there bcoz of careless misteke but got it ryt in the bus ride back to chennai.

ram gave a book for binding and the binder cut the page such that the page nums got trimmed off. so ram wrote the page numbers . if he used the digit 3, 61 times how manypages are there in the book..???

any answers for these puzzles..,
